Dangerous Sidewalk in Queens Raises Concerns

In a report from My Fox New York, a dangerous sidewalk in Queens has parents concerned.  A 3rd grader was almost hit recently by a car on 113th Street and 71st Road in Forest Hills. This is a main route used by children going to school, but it also contains a driveway and parking lot.  Touro College Graduate School owns the property, with an area of the sidewalk that is notorious for being driven upon. Reports from Fox 5 witnessed several cars driving on the sidewalk in the 2 days it spent investigating.  While there is a crossing guard stationed there, with the amount of traffic and pedestrians, it isn’t enough. Parents have tried to talk with the property owners but without success.   If you or a loved one was seriously injured because of someone else’s negligence, you may be entitled to compensation. Depending on the circumstances, a driver could be held liable or a property owner if there was a failure to correct a dangerous condition.  To learn what your rights are, you should speak with a Queens personal injury attorney. An attorney may investigate further into the details of your case and determine if you have any legal options available.
