Target Issues Expanded Recall on Child Booster Seats

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that Target stores have issued an expanded recall on child booster seats after receiving additional complaints of children who have fallen out of them.  The expanded recall affects Circo Child Booster Seats, which have been sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide between January 2005 and June 2009. These child booster seats have a restraint buckle on the seat which can unexpectedly open, leading to a child falling and potentially being injured.  Since Target’s last recall on the booster seats, the chain retail store has received 10 more reports of the restraint buckle opening. Out of those reports, 3 indicated that a child had sustained bruises or bumps after the buckle came loose, resulting in the child falling forward out of the booster seat and striking the floor or an object.  Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the child booster seats and return them to Target for a full refund.  When your child has been seriously injured by a defective product, then you should speak with a New York defective product attorney.
