Professional Dancer Fatally Injured in Bicycle Accident in Brooklyn

September 13, 2011 – Brooklyn, New York – According to a report from IBTimes New York, a professional dancer was fatally injured in a bicycle accident in Brooklyn on Tuesday, Aug. 30.  Erica Abbott, 29, was riding her bike in the Williamsburg neighborhood when she was startled by the blast of a car’s horn. She lost her balance over a pile of wood and fell directly into traffic. She was then run over by a Mercedes-Benz, driven by an unidentified 34-year-old woman.  That driver stayed at the scene of the fatal bike accident and, according to police, charges are not expected to be filed against her.
