Bus Crash at Kennedy Airport Kills 1 and Injures 10

June 7, 2011 – Queens, New York – According to a report from NBC New York, a bus crash at John F. Kennedy Airport kills 1 person and injures 10 others.  On Wednesday, May 19, a bus that was transporting airport workers collided with a car. The tragic bus crash happened just after 11 p.m. in a parking lot that is used only by employees. As of this posting, the Port Authority police have not been able to determine what caused the accident.  The bus crash resulted in 1 person being killed, 1 being critically injured and 9 others suffering minor injuries.  Whether you were injured in a bus crash or another type of accident, if it was caused by someone else’s negligence then you may be entitled to compensation. You should immediately consult with a New York personal injury attorney to determine what legal options are available and if you have a valid claim worth pursuing.  According to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2009, there were 1,156 fatalities as a result of traffic accidents in the state of New York.

To help raise awareness of traffic safety in the New York area, our firm will frequently publish blogs about traffic accidents that occur throughout the 5 boroughs and beyond. We do this to raise awareness about the common types of motor vehicle accidents that occur in New York that may result in serious injury or traffic fatalities.

Among the most common types of traffic accidents in New York include:

  • accidents caused by hazardous road conditions;
  • single-vehicle crashes;
  • rollover accidents; and
  • “distracted driver” accidents or crashes caused by intoxicated drivers.

If you have been named in this blog or you are the victim’s family member or friend and would like the blog removed from our website, please feel free to contact us and we will promptly accommodate your request.
