5 Million Graco Strollers Recalled due to Amputation

Nearly five million Graco baby strollers are being recalled due to “fingertip amputation hazard.”

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall applied to 11 Graco and Century-brand strollers with the following model names:

Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling and TravelMate.

The recall states, “the folding hinge on the sides of the stroller can pinch a child’s finger.”

Graco has received 11 reports of finger injuries, including six that involved fingertip amputation.

Owners of the recalled strollers are asked to contact the company www.gracobaby.com and click on the “Help Center” for free repair kits, which will be available in the beginning of December 2014.

If you or a loved one has suffered an injury as a result of one of the recalled strollers, you may be entitled to compensation for your damages. Contact one of our experienced Gacovino Lake attorneys at 1-800-246-HURT (4878) for more information.
