Tractor Trailer Tire Hits Windshield Killing Woman in Port Chester

August 22, 2011 – Port Chester, New York – According to a news story from My Fox New York, a woman was killed when a tire flew off a tractor trailer and hit her windshield on I-95.  The tragic truck accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, August 16, when the truck was heading south on I-95. It is unknown at this time what caused the tire to fly off but it went across the median into the northbound lanes.  Adele Mancuso, 62, of Larchmont, was killed when it smashed into the windshield of her vehicle. Her mother, Constance Casalina, who was a passenger was injured and listed in stable condition.  Police were able to find the driver of the truck, who is from New Jersey, and questioned him.
