Longview Man and Passenger Injured in DWI Car Accident

Orleans, New York – According to KYTX Channel 19, a Longview, Texas, man who was involved in a car accident on August 12 in New York has been charged with DWI, among other offenses. Speed and alcohol were factors in the single-car accident, which injured both the driver and passenger. 

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies say that John Dixon, 24, was traveling on State Route 12 in Orleans early that morning when he went around a curve, lost control and ended up on the side of the road. The car rolled over and landed upside down. 

Dixon and the passenger, Andrew Marquez, also 24, were being treated in local hospitals. Dixon was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, where he is in stable condition. He was charged with several offenses, including DWI, failure to obey a traffic device, unsafe lane change, and speeding.
