Dangerous Levels of Lead Found at Disneyland

According to a news story from the Sun Sentinel, dangerous levels of lead have been found in many attractions at Disneyland. There is concern that the same hazards may exist at Florida’s Disney World.  Visiting Disneyland or Disney World is a great family vacation, especially during the cold, winter months. However environmental groups have discovered that various areas throughout the park contain unsafe levels of lead, which can be dangerous to your health.  They plan on asking the courts to either cover or replace leaded-glass windows, brass knobs and other items, or to post warnings to the public concerning this particular health risk.  The environmental groups assume that they will find the same at Disney World, although they have not formally conducted any tests there. Officials in Florida have stated that there are no laws which require warnings to be posted concerning unsafe lead levels.  A lawsuit has already been filed against Disneyland, which has yet to reach the court system.  When you or a loved one has been exposed to high levels of lead, it could cause serious injuries relating to your health. You should consult with a New York attorney who handles environmental claims to learn what legal options are available.
