Chefmate Blenders Recalled Due to Risk of Lacerations

According to a report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), a certain model of Chefmate Blenders is being recalled due to the risk of lacerations. If you have been seriously injured from a defective product, you should seek legal help to file a claim for your injuries.  The Chefmate 6-Speed Blender, sold in Target stores, has been recalled because during operation, the pitcher can detach from the blade assembly. This exposes the rotating blades in the base, with the risk of lacerations occurring to the user.  CPSC and Target have received 11 reports of the blade assembly coming apart from the pitcher. Out of these reports, there were 7 cases of serious injury, that being, lacerations to the fingers and hands. This recall affects model #BL-10, which can be found on the bottom of the base. Consumers are advised to stop using the product and return it to any Target store for a full refund.  If you were seriously injured by a defective product, you could have the option of legal recourse. Consulting with a New York defective product attorney is the best way to learn what your options are when you have been injured due to another’s negligence.
