Next Brand Bicycle Recalled Due to Defective Chain

According to a report from the Washington Post, the Next brand bicycle has been recalled due to a fall hazard. The bicycle chain can break, resulting in the rider losing control and falling. If you have been injured by a defective product, you may be eligible to file a claim for your injuries.  The recall affects about 91,000 bicycles that were sold at Walmart between February and July of 2011. It is a 26-inch hybrid bike that was imported by Bridgeway International, of Naples, Fla.  The bicycles come in the colors orange or red and have the words “Power X” and “Suspension” printed on side of the frame of the bike.  There have been 11 reports filed indicating incidences involving this bike’s defect. Out of those reported accidents, 9 involved injuries such as contusions and lacerations. Consumers are advised to contact the Bridgeway company for information on what to do next.  If you or someone you love were severely injured due to a defective product, then you could be eligible to receive compensation. You should speak with a New York defective product attorney as soon as possible to discuss your case and to see what legal options are available to you.
