Target Recalls Embark Resistance Cords Due to Risk of Eye Injury

According to a report from Fox Toledo, Embark Resistance Cords are being recalled by Target stores due to the risk of eye injury. If you have been injured by a defective product, take legal action by pursuing a claim.  The resistance cords that are sold exclusively at Target stores are being recalled due to the risk of the black plastic ball that is attached to the cord’s door anchor, releasing unexpectedly and striking the consumer.  Target has received 3 reports in which a customer was hit in the eye by the plastic ball. The severity of one injury is not known, however the other 2 incidences caused permanent loss of vision. These resistance cords were sold in a variety of colors—green, blue, black—and in sets of those same colors. They were sold between July 2009 and August 2011, ranging in price from $10 to $20.  Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the defective product and contact Target for information on how to repair the cord, so that the hazard is eliminated and you are out of risk.  If you were injured by a defective product, you should speak to a New York defective product attorney to evaluate your case and see if you have a claim worth pursuing.
