Harlem Car Accident Leads to Several Injuries and 1 Fatality

Harlem, New York – My Fox New York reports that a car accident between a pickup truck and a sedan led to injuries and 1 fatality in Harlem.  The car accident took place Thursday afternoon, June 2, at the intersection of Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and West 145th Street. The driver of the pickup truck was going southbound on the boulevard when it struck a Lincoln Town Car livery cab that was turning left onto West 145th Street.  The impact caused the pickup truck to jump a curb on the southwest corner of the intersection where it hit 4 pedestrians. All of the pedestrians and the driver of the town car were taken to the hospital.  According to police, they were all listed in stable condition except for one of the pedestrians, an 89-year-old woman, who died at the hospital.  If you or a loved one has been seriously injured or killed in a car accident, then you should speak with a New York personal injury attorney about your case.  According to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2009, there were 1,156 fatalities as a result of traffic accidents in the state of New York.
