Gacovino, Lake & Associates, P.C. is proud to award one student a $2,500 scholarship for creating the most engaging and convincing public service announcement (PSA) related to stopping teen JUUL use. This scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen, college students, or graduate students. The winning student will submit the best JUUL risk PSA before the deadline, as well as meet other criteria.
By awarding this scholarship, we hope to identify effective methods and talking points to steer youth away from JUUL and other vaping devices as well as support the college education and positive future of a young person in our community. This scholarship is open to all college or graduate students, but the award must go toward paying for coursework in a degree program.
Apply for the 2021 JUUL Risk PSA Scholarship
If you believe you can craft a creative, engaging, and convincing PSA that might help your peers avoid using vape devices or quit using them, we hope you will consider applying for this scholarship. You can apply using the form on this page to submit your contact information and PSA script. The deadline for the 2021 JUUL Risk PSA Scholarship is July 1, 2021.
To qualify for the 2021 JUUL Risk PSA Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled or enrolling in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate program for Spring or Fall 2021
- Submit a script for a PSA warning of the dangers of JUUL and vape devices
- Agree to the scholarship terms and conditions
The JUUL risk PSA will be an essay or written script of no more than 1,000 words on the risks of using a JUUL device and preventing their use among teens. Your PSA should:
- Be engaging, informative, and convincing
- Be targeted toward your peers
- Include a warning about the risks of JUUL
- Be genuinely effective at convincing your fellow students to quit using JUUL and other vaping devices
